BUILT ON SAFETY

Bette & Cring’s first priority is to protect its people – employees, subcontractors, clients, as well as the surrounding community. B&C’s Safety Program emphasizes ongoing training, inspection, accountability, and it provides guidelines to comply with the Occupation Safety and Health Act (OSHA), along with federal, state, and local safety codes.

We are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace, and the results are evident: B&C consistently reports one of the lowest Workers Compensation experience modification ratios (EMR) in the industry. The company has received frequent recognition from the Associated General Contractors of NYS and has received numerous Safety Excellence Awards.

All necessary and practical steps are taken to maintain a safe place to work. Bette & Cring field personnel are required to complete an OSHA 10-hour construction safety program. Periodic hazard-specific training programs are also conducted, as necessary, to address hazards observed at job sites. Additionally, weekly toolbox talks are mandatory for all site personnel. Other training courses include OSHA 10, OSHA 30, Fall Protection, Confined-Space Entry, Traffic Control, and Crane Safety programs. In addition, B&C sponsors job specific training programs.

Covid-19 Guidelines

With the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, the protocols and procedures necessary to ensure that anyone on one of our projects is informed, trained, protected, and allowed to stay safe from this infectious disease has taken on a greater and greater level of importance.

Company-wide, Bette & Cring has taken measures to foster social distancing and reduce personal contact. We have limited business travel, restricted visitors to our workplaces, and shifted to remote meetings (via phone and video-conference).

On the job site, we are focused on prioritizing hygiene and social distancing. Our new protocols include reduced density of workforce in; requiring masks and gloves; hand washing stations; and temperature screenings.
