Dutchess Co. – NY 115 over Little Wappinger Creek

The NY 115 over Wappinger Bridge project was the full removal and replacement of two deteriorating “Jack Arch” style bridges. It has a Cast in Place concrete deck set on galvanized girders over the main channel and a three-sided precast box culvert over the overflow channel. The project was performed under staged construction allowing traffic to continue to utilize the main route without utilizing what would have been a lengthy detour. The new structures were placed further downstream from the original structures to improve sight distance by flattening the curve of the roadway.
